Activities

I have reviewed or edited over 250 manuscripts for journals such as Science, the American Economic Review, and the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology. In 2020 I served on the economics panel of ERC Advanced. In 2022 the Prime Minister appointed me to the Czech National Economic Council. Between 2015 and 2019 I served as full-time Advisor to the Board of the Czech National Bank.

I currently chair the economics panel of Charles University's Grant Agency, am a member of the Expert Group for supporting ERC applicants in Czechia, and serve as Associate Editor responsible for meta-analysis at the Journal of Economic Surveys. I am a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research in London and the Meta-Research Innovation Center at Stanford.

I have a beautiful life with Zuzana and our Kristina, Daniel, Filip, and Lucie in Litomysl, Bohemia. I chair the local school board and help run the town's floorball club, where three of our kids play. Go Litomyšl!
